Some autoclaves are too large to transport. For a recent project, YRPR delivered a 5,200 mm diameter × 10,000 mm autoclave – designed for a 400 °C design temperature and 1.6 MPa design pressure – by fabricating it entirely at the customer’s site.
The project progressed through one month of detailed design and procurement of plates, heads and flange forgings, on-site shell fabrication and welding, hydrostatic testing, and then internal installation: insulation, air-guide devices, coolers and heaters. External work followed – door installation, air, drain and vacuum valve assemblies – and finally the electrical and control systems, integrated commissioning and final acceptance, including the nitrogen source system.
The result: a fully documented, acceptance-tested production asset delivered without moving a completed vessel. Read the full process on our manufacturing page.
