Microwave Autoclaves
Microwave-assisted rapid heating – rates up to 20 °C/min for fast-cure, high-throughput production.
Overview
YRPR microwave autoclaves are engineered for rapid heat-up cure cycles. Microwave-assisted heating drives energy directly into the laminate and tooling, reaching heating rates up to 20 °C/min – dramatically shortening cycle times for fast-turnaround and high-batch-throughput composite production while preserving the uniformity of regulated conventional airflow cure.
Combined microwave and forced-convection heating gives process engineers a tunable energy profile: microwave power for rapid ramp segments and conventional circulation for soak segments. The platform is configured to the same airframer process standards as our conventional autoclave families.
Key Features
- Heating rates up to 20 °C/min – a fraction of conventional cycle time
- Combined microwave + convection heating for tunable cure profiles
- Working volumes from Φ435 mm up to super-large dimensions
- Same regulated closed-loop control platform as the YRPR autoclave family
- Redundant PLC and standby vacuum pump options
- Ideal for fast-cure resin systems and high-throughput lines
